 Relapse Prevention Retreat

The purpose of the Relapse Prevention Retreat is to help recovering addicts strengthen their weaknesses. Herbert Jim who was a substance abuser for 18 years, has been clean and sober for the past nine years living happily with his family in central Florida. What he discovered along the way has inspired him to share this knowledge with other recovering from substance abuse. We have designed a retreat for people who are serious about creating a happy life for themselves, family and, community.

What is a relapse prevention retreat? This is a six day camping retreat for people who are in recovery from substance abuse. In our six day retreat participants will learn how to defeat their weakness and what lead to their downfall. Participants will perform a three day fast and participate in a Native American Sweat Lodge Ceremony. Participants will be able to choose between two types of fasts depending on their health. During the three day fast participants retreat leaders will gather the group together to educate participants about achieving life long victory over addiction.

  Discussion topics will include:
The truth about all addictions
Spirituality and the 12 steps
Eating healthy and living well
Removing addiction from our lives
Bonding with our children
Positive stress relief

At the conclusion of the fast and sweat lodge ceremony, everyone will enjoy a B.B.Q picnic at Blue Springs State Park. All meals will be health conscious.
